Thanks all to those who have posted. I am not sure if or when I will upgrade, but the intake and tune will be first on the list. What I was after is the engine itself. I want to know about how the 3v works, what the variable intake etc etc all mean. Also, does anyone know if there is a multimedia clip of the engine? Something like a breakdown or overview of the 2005-2008 engine. I am a visual person more than verbal.

no illustrations i know of, man, sorry. you said you wanted to get a supercharger so be careful which CAI you get because some of them don't work with a S/C. you have to figure out which S/C you're going to get before you know what CAI you can get. you don't want to blow a few hundred dollars only to find out it's something you can't use. also, you'll get the S/C dyno-tuned i'm assuming, so a canned tune from BAMA or Brenspeed won't be necessary. i don't know the PSI limits of our engines, but if you go higher than 450rwhp, you're going to need forged internals. our blocks are very strong, but our bottom end is the weakest link as far as the engine itself is concerned. i don't know much about the inner workings of the engine other than 2 of the valves are for intake and one is for exhaust.

btw, thanks for serving our country, everyone here appreciates you greatly. anything you need let us know and we'll do our best to help you out.
