What is the diffrence between a Mustang dyno and a Dynojet. I put down about 60 less hp and tq on the Dynojet. Is it easy to alter the numbers on a Mustang dyno to show more power than you actually have?
I tried to tell you your numbers were wrong. There's no magic turbo making 500rwhp on 7lbs of boost.

Take your car to the track! You'd get about as accurate horsepower numbers by plugging in your track trap speed and vehicle weight in a horsepower calculator.

Dang Moose, I bet your one of the smartest guys you know. When I get my new motor finished Im not going to bother putting it on a dyno . Ill just run the specs by the MOOSE MOBILE and find out what the numbers are. Peace, Love and understanding!!!!

On a well designed system 7 psi should be about 450 rwhp on aproperly calibrated Dynojet.
SAE: Smoothing 5.

How close are your numbers to that?

lol wadman

Its not even possible to run 7lbs and get 500rwhp. Nature wouldnt allow it!

its around 20rwhp for every lb of boost so if you run the same calculations thats 34rwhp per pound of boost for your car.If thats the case then im buying a Hellion right now!!!!

The gear swap was almost a "Have to" when I put 285-35 drag radials on it,the gear went to about a 4.30. You couldnt go but about 20ft in 1st gear. Do you like your turbo? I was expecting more hard hitting power. I may sell mike and buy a s/c. Hellion told me the turbo would load up better with taller gears.
I'm in the same boat. I haven't decided if I'm going to 3.55's or 3.73's. A lot of folks who don't understand the benifits of a taller gear with a turbo start calling us idiots for going to a taller gear. Hellion is right. I have 4.10's with 295/35/18's which make it equivilant to 4.30 or so also. Taller gear is better than short gear for the turbos.

After my clutch gets done this next month, I'm saving for a Detroit locker and gears. Should be done by race season.

to bump this thread up from the dead. I went to a mustang dyno this weekend, and got 264 rwhp@ 5405rpmand 280 rwtq@ 4683rpm. With "wcf" (not to sure what that even is) i got 268/285. With the mods in my sig i was hoping for about 285hp, but seeing how it is a mustang dyno, and it was 82 degrees with 75% humidity (south florida) I would guess on a dynojet in cooler conditions im right about where i should be. Any thoughts? Seemed like most cars were dyno'ing about 10-15 hp lowerfrom the norm. 04 cobra dyno'd 370 with cai and x-pipe, .As it got later in the day at 92 degree's same humiditya gt500 dyno'd at 380rwhp!!

I got 263 rwhp and 287 rwtq on a mustang dyno here in San Antonio. I have pretty much the same mods as you, except I have an at. The weather was about the same too, 80 and 75% hum. So you aren't the only one with those numbers in those conditions. Maybe you should be higher with mt, but all tunes are not created equal.
