Ok guys i have done a lot reading in the forums and this is what i think i am going to go with for my exhaust when tax refund comes around, a Pypes O/R H pipe and mid muffler system. I had been thinking about the Bassani X pipe but after reading about the X pipes everyone seems to think they sound rasspier and don't have that old era muscle car grumble which is what i am looking for. Does anyone happen to have this setup and have a sound clip of it, i heard plenty of clips withX pipes and the mid muffler but none with H pipes? Post your comments, thanks.

With the stock H pipe the gurgle when letting off the gas or slowing down is so deep it's freaky sounding. I've got to get a video of the car coming to a stop just to see what it sounds like to people on the street. I'm sure with an O/R H it will sound similar, but much louder. You might consider doing the mid mufflers first and if it's not loud enough then get the H pipe. It souldn't be any harder to install the H pipe afterwards.

I have the mid mufflers and will be getting the offroad H, I don't want the raspiness of the X on mine...I think it will ruin the mid muffler system sound.

I'll be putting my GTA's back on this coming weekend. Will be with the OBX L/T's & O/R H. The mid-muffler setup with L/T's is a bit much for me. I'll post a vid when the GTA's are back on.

In the first video the narrator says that it is just with the stock H pipe, which is it, the stock or O/R?

I definitely like the sound in the first and third videos best.

The 1st vid is mid mufflers with stock H & cats.
3rd vid is mid mufflers with headers & O/R H.
Those were shot with a digital camera, it didn't pick up the sound accuratly,it's quite a bit louder in person.
When I re-install the GTA's I'll try to get a better vid before & after.
