Default air intake location issues

i read in passing a little while back that someone with either the bbk cai or the c & l cai had an issue where the intake was rubbing a cable or something and it was wearing out or they were afraid it was wearing out. is there any issue like this on either intake that you guys know about?

I have the BBK CAI and no problem with any rubbing. Sounds weird, the BBK is practically a clone of the C&L and I haven't heard of any rubbing with it either.

How do you like your JLT? I am getting one within a week or two.

The JLTs alright. Nothing fancy, just an upgrade over the stock airbox. Matt who's tune are you going to run? Add a little tire shine to rubber elbow to shine up a bit.

I remember a few members posting problems with a few intakes heat shields sitting on the abs lines, heat shields rubbing into the underhood liner.

Some folks have issues with the CAI rubbing the upper radiator hose. It's all in how the CAI is alligned. In those cases they probably had the CAI angled a bit to low.
