Default So i finally hammered it..

Well I was able to floor it today on a long and empty stretch of road to test the mods i had installed 10 days ago alltogether, let's just say WOW!!
BUT...
I can hear some sort of (what i think) is knocking and i don't know why, my car still has a little over 6000miles on it, I'm using Brenspeed's 91 tune with 95 octane in the tank (yes 95)

I'm gonna e-mail Brent today, just wanted some feedback from you guys if anyone has experienced a similar thing, any help will be much appreciated.

BTW, my gears has about 350miles on them still 150 to go so i won't do any WOT again 'till then.

Sometimes when running that much higher octane gas than the tune is set for is bad for the car. The gas is not able to burn quick enough and can cause detonation

Thanks! I didn't know that.. I'll try the 91 Octane fuel and see what happens.

Make sure you run at least two tanks of 91 octane before you decide if it worked...flush all of that 95 out of the tank. Best of luck

My guess is you might have gotten some bad gas.

I guarantee that the engine wasn't running right because 95 on a 91 tune is a big difference.

Thats like saying you cant run 92 oct on a stock 87 tune. Yes you can.

I would kinda doubt you have a knock issue, unless the knock sensor is not operating. There are other things that can make that kind of sound. Wish I could be of more help, but its probably one of those "Ya gotta be there" moments to know exactly whats going on.
