List of Fastest 100% Stock 05-08 Mustangs
OK, so I know our forum moderators don't want to make a sticky for fastest STOCK 05-08 Mustang's...but I think we should have one. So, I'm compiling a little list of the fastest 100% stock down to the rubber Mustangs. I will only list stock stangs that run under 13.500 in the 1/4.
RULES: car can only be equipped with standard equipment/options as it comes from Ford's factory. No mods, no new tires, no gutted interior, no Ford Racing packs, no tunes, no gears over 3.55, no Saleen/Roush packs, etc. Car must be as it was when purchased from Ford, and must have factory wheels/tires.I am assuming this list will be for V-8's only, but V-6's are eligible if they can run these times. No special stangs allowed (Roush, Saleen, etc.). Tire pressure CAN be changed. Minimal weight reduction allowed (very little gas, etc.) but no removing seats...car must have all equipment it had when it left the factory.

*SLP axlebacks so not 100% stock, even though axlebacks probably reduce hp/tq and certainly don't add any
If you think you qualify, post your timeslip and I'll add you! Gene K is expecting someone will hit 12.999 soon in factory stock form! :-D

My Pass:
I weigh about 280 lb fully clothed and was around 3690 lb Race Weight (5 gal of fuel).
It was 32F at a track thats at 519' ASL. The track was very slick.
The car was definately making power under those conditions as I was hitting the limiter at 104 mph
about 30' short of the finish. Trap speed would have been around 104.5 mph without that.
I was leaving at 2000 rpm and slipping the clutch about 15'.
However the car has more in it. We just have not caught the perfect conditions.
I ran a 13.537 @ 102.11 on a 1.958 60' when it was 69F at the same track when it was hooking.
With Karen (115 lb Wet) driving the car went 1.951 13.351 @ 104.00 (shifted to 4th).
On those passes we were leaving at 4500 rpm and slipping the clutch about 6'.
If we could catch a nice sunny 40F day with a 1.94 60' the car would go
13.25 with me and with a 1.93 60' 13.09 with Karen.
I theorize that on a Mid-30's day with a Sub-130 lb driver and a 1.91 60' at at a track less than 50' ASL
one of these cars will someday make a 12 Second Pass 100% Showroom Stock. It may in fact have already happened.
For some reason the Mods on these boards dont seem to want to leave up a sticky for fastest stock times like
the Corvette guys do. Thats what made Ranger Semi-Famous.
I know two years ago there was a 13.19 pass with a 175 lb driver at Cecil County (Rising Fawn MD) aka "The Mine Shaft".
That was by an 2005 Premium with the Fuel Vapor Trap still in the Intake Tube (-6 rwhp). Some late 2005's and all 2006-2007 Mustangs (at least 49 State Cars) come without these traps. "

here in Utah with the elevation and hot weather youre lucky to pull a 14.5 with a stock GT. you can get in the 13's with FI 
If you do the NHRA corrections its different but stil it sucks to see that

I have been saying, 13.2 out of a stock S197 is very possible on a cool air. I ran 13.4 with half of the experience I have now and it was around 60-65 degrees. these cars are great for 1/4 mile. I just need an oppurtinity to drive a stock GT and I bet I will bring home a 13.2 time slip with a decent cool 40 degrees weather.
