which hand held tuner is best. The sct flash tuners like the sf flash device or the diablo??? The sct can use a 87 octane gas setting.Can the sf flash tuner can the speed limiter higher????

The most popular one is the SCT, that's what I have. It's so easy to use, even a Caveman can do it.

The XCAL II is the most popular, to be more specific, Blue. But they are all very similar. More tuners use the XCAL II, and SCT in general, than Diablo. So keep that in mind. Brenspeed, VMP, and EVo do not use Diablo, Bamachips does.

Keep in mind that just about any tuner that will allow you to pull timing out of the tune will allow you to run on lower octane fuel. If you are worried about fuel costs though you might want to reconsider putting a tune on your car. Much of the performance gain is going to come from that advanced timing and will require higher octane fuel.

Plus - you will probably have a tendancy to keep your foot in the gas pedal a little longer and more frequently.

I highly suggest you don't both loading a canned Diablosport or SCT tune and instead go with a more custom mail order tune. SCT XCal2 and Diablosport Predator are the two most popular and powerful tuners at the moment. Either one of those will do everything you need it to do. The tuner is not as important as the tune.
