^^ I'm with that...you want sound...invest in something better quality...neither are that...both are cheaper brands...

listen to as many setup as possible and then decide, thats half the fun of mods.
I did that and ended up with the magnaflows, liked them the best for a real world DD

Hello Gentlemen,

Hitman here was graciously inquiring for myself.

What I am looking at is this Magnaflow Catback system. I understand the add-on hanger kit will solve previous install issues?

- ($49.99) : Pypes 2005+ SS Exhaust Hanger Kit

I LOVE my flowmasters and there is absoluely nothing wrong with the quality. They fit very nicely and were a cinch to install. Louder and deeper than stock and dont drone until almost 3k rpm.

I have the 3" Magna Paks. I havent seen anyone here complain about bad fit, bad sound (personal tastes), or power issues.
I certainly dont have anything bad to say about them. They are not obnoxiously loud, they are stainless steel so they wont rust, 3" tubing fit just fine with a couple adjustments to get it right without any body banging (any system has to go through that), and there isnt alot of power to be gained with exhausts on the S197 in the first place.

Flowmaster mufflers are pretty crappy when it come to exhaust flow. Look at ANY cutaway of one. There is no waythey can flow better than a straight through muffler design. They are purely for sound.

Thats what I understood, was that I was buying a sound effect, but also that they can improove efficiency.

My vote goes to Corsa!

Sounds WAY better than stock; louder, meaner and NO drone. Crusing is like stock until you get on it.

ORIGINAL: onederful100

any axle back mufflers will get you next to nothing in HP gains, so what you want to look for is sound. between the 2 you have to choose from i vote for magnaflow. but i also recommend boomtubes.
+1 But if your going to go with magnaflow makes sure he gets the magnaflow bullet style mufflers and not the chambered ones.
