RE: BBK intake system and others
It says right in the add description "According to BBK, this intake can be ran with no tune."
However, from the context of the rest of the add, it sounds like Brent disagree's.. "Highly recommend our custom tune for this intake"
I think a few guys on here have mentioned something about being prety lean with this intake and no tune. I would lean towards Brents opinion..

+1 Mine is sitting in the garage for this reason. I have been piling up on saved money and am ording my custom tune soon. It says on the paper work that if running lean without a tune to use higer octane fuel. I would NOT suggest this even with 93. The diameter of the tube is pretty damn big and changes compared to other intakes. I even emailed brent and asked him the same question, he tells me way too lean. I can forward you the email if you would like.

RE: BBK intake system and others
I have the BBK and would not recommend it.
There are two types of intakes for our cars, ones that NEED a new tune, and ones that dont.
Anything that doesnt require a new tune, is not going to be worth the money. THe Idea is that your allowing more air in, so you'll need to compensate for that...by tuning it.
The BBK is one that will need a new tune, if you dont want to re-tune, then get a K&N, or something like that, but the benefits arent going to be worth it.
Save your money and get both at the same time.
THe Tune is what makes it. MOst of the intakes are the same, the difference will come from the quality of tune.
