everyone always says they dont want a stick for traffic or whatnot. once you start driving stick for awhile you dont even think of it. i can see if its a commutter car, but its a v8 mustang!

Buy a new one for 24000. Because buying a used sports car is like buying a used condom.
And buying a muslce car with an auto is like kissing your sister. LOL

manual IMHO it is alot more fun to drive ina RWD V8 [sm=signs007.gif]
by the way, is there a quick&easy way to check how much of a clutch friction pad is left? you never know how hard it was driven by the previous owner...

I made the mistake of going automatic since I thought it would make it easier in traffic, which it did... but the itch since I used to drive manual has come back. I'm in the process of "getting exactly what I want" right now lmao. Not sure if the deal is 100% year but it's looking good. It's worth the shot to just go for it.

Gluck!

urrr umm..you have a v6 though,I'd imagine the torque of a GT plus mods not to mention the added umph of a supercharger would kinda quiet the auto vs manual debate in ones mind..with all that power on tap, what's to complain about even with a moded auto? lol.

On the fence myself of what to get..not going to think about it for a while, when its time to buy I am pretty sure I am going to make the right choice both in terms of short and long term goals.

thief of hearts, i think you have it backwards...When you have a manual tranny, selecting just what gear you have makes a huge difference in terms of how much you connect with the car and the fun you have. Driving a stick go kart, to me, is a lot more fun than driving an automatic kia...

Yep, you should get what you exactly want. I really like my GT, but I now REALLY wish for the manual. I'd like to trade it in for one but if I did that right now, I'd lose my 0% interest for 60mo deal I got. So if I ever do trade it for a manual one it wouldn't be until Ford comes back with the 0% interest deal again.

A few months ago they did have it for the 07s like the year before on the 06s. I maybe should have traded then. Now I have to wait till the 09's come out before they throw any deals on the 08s which in the mean time, my car will lose value even more. Dang it!
