boost on Centri or Twinscrew

RE: boost on Centri or Twinscrew
I don't think it matters that much, unless you're going to 6500rpms on the centri and only 6200 on the twin screw.

Safer to boost on Centri or Twinscrew? For Example 10 psi on Centri, 10 psi on TS?

Some say TS, because many people will not feel the need to rev as high due to the bottom end torque. Others say centri, because the car isnt making boost unless you really want to go fast.
Technically, RPM's cause more wear on your engine.

Perhaps, but you have to run higher RPMs to get boost. RPMs cause more engine wear, which is why many believe a TS will be better in the long run because many will short shift at 4500-5000 RPM, instead of always running high RPM to get boost. It makes sense, assuming you short shift. If you don't, well that means your car will be under boost more often, and of course, wear faster.

You don't 'have' to run higher rpm's to get boost, you just have to run higher rpm's to get 'more' boost. Most all centrifi's start making boost before 3000 rpm. With a proper pulley, you should be able to reach 10-11 psi by a conservative 5800-6000 rpm shift point.
Running your car at high rpm for any length of time is bad no matter what kind of FI you have...
