Default Diablo vs. SCT?

I've heard alot of both sides of this, just found this forum, seems like this is the place to ask the question, SCT livewire or Diablo? BTW, I have an '07 GT, looking at S/C down the road, (hopefully not too far!), Paxton has been around awhile, looking into it. thanks

I'd pick sct xcal 2 or 3. Too much money or the livewire seems like a good choice. It's all about personal opinion. Many tuners only use sct for their tunes. Not as many use diablo. You could find a good tune for either though.Save some money and get the xcal. As far as s/c, theres a lot of good choices out there. Whipple, saleen, kb.

I've been asking the same questions.

After reading afew threads this is what I've found out...

They both work good, they both change pretty much everything you can imagine on your car. It's a personal preference in most cases. Some of the X3's have had some issues where users have not been able to load the new tunes, and it has erased the car's stock tune while trying leaving. Supposedly, it's a glitch that is being firgured out.

I really don't think you can go wrong with either. If it's in capable hands you will get very similar results from both.

Diablo also allows you to download you tunes to the computer easily....even you stock tune.

Diablo allows you to turn off the 02 sensors for an o/r pipe which I think is a very big thing

Diablo allows for more than 3 tunes

All of these the SCT doesnt allow for to my knowledge.

And yes the TCS off/on

I would get one depending on what the tuning place you plan on using uses. I have a diablo and love it.

Hopefully I'm going to be able to get the car into the shop this week.

I'm buying a programmer, and getting the car dyno tuned... Still don't know if I will buy the X3 or the Predator...

Shop around and see what shops are in your area. Once you figure out who you want doing your work see what tuning devise they use. That would be your best bet. When I was looking around for a shop everyone did one or the other. I'd pick quality of work over a tuning devise. Thats just details.
