Default Aeroforce & MAP sensor question

I received my aeroforce gauge last week and I ordered with it the 2 bar MAP sensor for my Saleen charger. Problem is I need to find a +5v source for the sensor as per the instructions, they say you can order their 12v to 5v converter or tap into a source in the car. That's as specific as the instructions get, anyone know what I can tap into for a 5v source???

Thanks, I posted on the Aeroforce forum, hopefully they post an answer. I tried to email them 3 times last week but no reply.

You get that map sensor straightened out yet? The whole 5v thing sounds strange.

not sure if you got it fixed up, but you can get a 5v source from you egr valve just get a multimeter and probe the wires. you can tap into the power and the ground off of your egr.

I bought a 2 dollar 12v to 5v regulator from Radio shack, I found the reference to using one from guys with car stereo issues on feedback. then I tied it into a 12v switched source and it seems to work fine. http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2062599

Thanks, hope it works ok as it was a pain to wire. I wanted to runone gauge (the Aero)to keep it simple, that being said a mechanical boost gauge would be way way easier.
