EXHAUST QUESTION
Anyone know whatthe stock exhaust intermediate pipe diameter is on the 05 mustang gt. I was on summit racing.com and for an extra $100 you can get a flowmaster cat back system instead of just the axle back system. I was just wondering if its worth it. The only reason I could see is that the flowmaster might have a bigger pipe diameter, allowing for more airflow. The flowmaster intermediate pipes have a 2.5 inch diameter. Does anyone know if this is bigger? Anyfeedback is appreciated.

RE: EXHAUST QUESTION
Yeah the flows on 05+ mustangs sound kind of...meh to me. You should look into Boomtubes or Corsas. Both of those are perfect for the new stangs.
Search for the "official exhaust thread" to hear all the different kinds and read descriptions on them.

RE: EXHAUST QUESTION
There are plenty of soundclips here.
IMO, for just an axle-back, I would pick up the Ford Racing/Borla stingers. If you want cat-back, I would pick up a bassani X-pipe and axle-back.

Thanks for the reply's. I'll just go with the axlebacks. Why flows? Why not. I love the way they sound and IMO flowmaster and mustang were a match made in heaven.

This sound clip sold me, but for the 400.00 it cost to buy it I was also leaning towards the Pypes mid muffler system. You might want to listen to some clips from the mid muffs. I might still change to them.
