don't goose the throttle on even a damp road! it will spin even in 4th gear at 60mph. Be careful, i don't know how you guys drive up north. It must feel like drag radials in the rain all the time.

I normally don't drive the car in this kind of weather, it's garaged. The ONLY reason I'm going this is I'm taking it to the paint shop in a couple of weeks and want the blower done first. There's a HUUUUUUUUUGE indoor car show the last weekend of March at the Buffalo convention center, so I need to make sure I'm all finished up first. I was going to do the install myself and have time, but now with it being damaged, and I'm traveling all next week for work, I won't have the time to DIY the blower.. So, the car has to travel..

The INSTANT I get back to town I'm going to one of those self-wash spray places 2 blocks from my house and hose the whole thing off, including the undercarriage. Then it's going back in the garage until it's time to drive it 12 blocks to the paint shop. Then back to the garage again.. LOL

I'm Jealous Exx, Just found out I have to wait 2 weeks for my install. I have plenty of good excuses why I am going to pay someone else to do it, but in the end I am just chicken.

At least with a Brenspeed install you know it will be done right.

Dont forget to take alot of pics of Brenspeed and your car and post them up. Also let us know how she drives. You will have to get on it at least once.

Hopefully I will have the opportunity one time, but if not, I'd rather be safe than be injured or dead, or at the very least in the body shop for work I wasn't intending on having done..


And yes, I will admit that looking at the 100+ page Saleen installation manual was rather daunting, but I still would have done it. It's straightforward enough. Remove the intake makifold, relocate the alternator, install the heat exchanger, and put the blower where the intake manifold used to be.

Ok, so maybe that's the short version. But I've done worse, how bad could it really have been?

Either way, I'm happy with my choice. Brent and Seth and Dave are all great, and I'm very excited to see the shop tomorrow.

Drive safe my friend, I live about 1 hour away from Brenspeed. They are calling for 2 to 4" of snow tonight and -5 degrees for this weekend. I got 430rwhp with my Saleen SC 3.6 pulley and Brenspeed tune.
