mid to top is by far the best, its got decent torque down low but untill it hits 4k it really doesnt seems to do much. my 1/8th mile time i think my best is 8.6?? @ 83 sumthing with like a 2.0 60ft. ive never been better than a 2.0 60ft. these times were on stock pirellis

Nice numbers!
It's possible that your car is a factory freak, and was producingmore than normal power when stock.
Out of curiosity, if your car is a manual, then what are your launch and shift rpm's? Also, what were the ambient temperature, altitude, and track conditionforthatlow 13 sec.run?

thanx guys, as for temp and altitute it was about 55 degrees at norwalk raceway in ohio. ive ran my best there but i run consistant 13.2-13.4's at dragway 42 in ohio. i live about 10 minutes away from 42 so i race there atleast once a week with every vehicle ive owned...i think im addicted. as for launching i usually slip the clutch around 4500 lol. i know im whopping my clutch because the car has 7k miles on it and i can already feel the clutch getting weak. if i didnt have 3.31 gears and i had stickier tires i would have to slip it. if i dont it either spins bad or bogs really bad. wish i had 4.10's lol

Nice runs, in spite of the bog.
3500-4500 rpm isprobably the best range for launching S197's with stock gearsandtires, even though it is hard on the clutch. Also, if the track is not prepped, then 50-60 F is about the ideal temperature for getting good runs with these cars, because they produce more power at those lower tempsbutcan still get decent traction. At temps lower than 50 F theyproduce even more power, but unfortunatelyreducedtractionnow becomes a problem.
BTW, what are your shift rpms?
