RE: steeda deletes or pulleys

so...just wait and get both at the same time...what kind of gains from both...

22kart22 01-18-2008 09:32 PM

RE: steeda deletes or pulleys

maybe around 10 from both...

howarmat 01-18-2008 09:33 PM

RE: steeda deletes or pulleys

15 HP from both combined is a good bet.

I knew that :)

Do you think it's really a worth while mod though?

RE: steeda deletes or pulleys

well I put them on alone and catn say i noticed anything terribly different, not like the UDPs where you feel the car spin up a litte faster. Its worth it in the end assuming you are putting on all bolt ons anyway...i got them for 90 before FRPP discontinued them so it was 7-8 HP @ $10/hp which is about he best you can get

RE: steeda deletes or pulleys

If your only gonna do one, I'd suggest you get the UDP's

RE: steeda deletes or pulleys

are udp's alone a good "first mod?"

shooter23 01-19-2008 06:32 AM

RE: steeda deletes or pulleys

yes, a very good...they dont require a tune or anything, literally just bolt on and go...they are probably one of the only "bolt on" mods for these cars.

If you go with teh plates, you will need a tune to finish the job. So I would do the pulleys first and then wait and do the plates after you get the re-tune.

I did the pulleys as my first mod, did them in my garage in about 30 minutes or so. Great mod, and yes you can really feel it all through the powerband.
THe plates you wont notice, well, maybe a bit in the high RPM range...

definetly both I have them sitting in my closet...and i have the udps isntalled....they want 180 for the install on them and then another 200 to dyno tune it.... but if u want order a tune via email from either of the respectable tuners....be more like $75 for a mal order tune

r3velation 01-20-2008 04:27 AM

RE: steeda deletes or pulleys

sweet. then i'll definitely look into getting some udps coupled with an intake and tune and MAYBE the plates all together.

both
+1

You will need a new tune from a very good tuner to realize the benefits.
