its really personal preference, a lot of people on here will say: "if you can aford a gt500 get it!" My personal opinion i didnt really care for one i just chose to forge/stroke my engine and boost it with a t6060 6 speed tran from the gt500 ect. ive done some weight reduction stuff too. i guess it just depends on what you really want.

I agree! I could have just bought a GT500. However, thats not nearly as fun as when someone pulls up on your lowly GT and gets a BIG SURPRISE!

Heck, I don't even have leather interior!

Build your GT. I have well over 60k into my little GT and it is my own creation. I have forged internals and upgraded valves and springs $4900.00 plus 1700.00 for the labor. I also upgraded the clutch, gt500 fuel pumps twin BAP's, and now I am having a Whipple 3.4 modified to fit my KB manifold. Lokking for 600+ RWHP.
I have smoked a couple 100k (BMW M6, Porsch) cars with this GT at 11 psi. You know they hate it when that happens.

GT500's are real nice, but you would want to mod it as well and now you are really talking about some cash.
Good luck!

That'd be consistent with my m.o. I have a 2004 F150 Supercrew 4x4 in the 13s.

Hey Matt,

Is that a 4.6? I know he has the 5.4s, but I did not know he had 4.6 motors. With that motor, any reason you don't crank up the boost on that KB and shoot out 550 - 600 rwhp? Did he install the motors for you? Thx
