Default Make the Agony Stop

Well I got some horrible news today.

My installer says that my kit is missing 2 parts. I am missing a bag of bolts and the connector that mates the GT-500 pumps to the stock harness.

Without the parts I am SOL. Looks like no car tonight or possibly tomorrow.

So far I have;

The installer called whipple yesterday with no response.

I emailed whipple this morning.

I called FRPP so they can harrass them.

And now I will be calling whipple myself.

Overkill yes but I WANT MY CAR BACK.

Thanks, I needed to vent.

You spend how much on this thing and they don't even return your calls? What a joke.

From what I hear you can almost never get the parts guys by phone. I called every 5 mins after they opened 9am Pac, 12pm Eastern. About the 5th try I got someone and got the ball rolling. After about 4 hrs got it all straight and they are shipping the missing pieces.

Was told by whipple that the best they can do is second day air to the east coast. WTF? I have overnighted stuff from the east coast to west coast before.

So there is a small chance that it will come today. I doubt they will pay for Sat delivery, plus the shop isnt technically open on Sat, so it looks like I have to wait for Monday.

This really blows. And not in the good way.

A connector that mates the GT-500 pumps to the stock harness? Do you mean the GT-500 wiring harness? I don't remember any loose connectors for the fuel pump when I wired my GT-500 harness. Everything was plug and play from one large harness. It sucks that you're having trouble interacting with the guys at whipple. I called them twice for technical advice and they were more than helpful.

sorry to hear abou the delay guru, hopefully
you'll get the car by mid next week.

the first thing i did was inventory everything in
the boxes and here's what the kit should have included.

I'll doing an inventory check on mine when it gets here. Assuming customs (or whoever has the damn thing) gives it to me.
Not installing until late March anyhow.....

Well Hammer looks like I was missing that bag of bolts in the middle left and something to do with that harness in the upper left.

I opened the big boxes and made sure I had injectors, plugs, etc but didnt look at the small stuff. Partly my fault but it did have a packing sheet that someone filled out and said the kit was complete, so it is more their fault.

Defineatly recommend checking all the parts when you get yours.

And I sure as hell better get the car back before mid next week. If I dont have it Monday I will be even madder than I am now.

Thanks, I hate Murphy and his laws.

Dont worry I will Join as soon as it is official. Right now I have a paperweight. When it moves under its own power I will have a whippled stang.
