Weird thing last night
 

Driving home last night, going about 40 and the car dies. I had the radio up so did'nt hear anything. The first thing I noticed was no power steering and no power brakes, I look down at the tach and the engine light, not the wrench, was on. Its as if I someone shut the car off with the key. I coast to a stop, turn the key off then back on and it starts right up and seems normal. I've had my Brenspeed tune in for almost 2 years now and have never had any problems. 2006 GT and 16,000 trouble free miles. I reloaded the tune this morning and we'll see what happens. Any body have any experiences like this and if so what was the outcome? Thanks

its a computer.....sometimes they just crash and need to be rebooted....i had the wrench light come on once, but stop startd back up and never again has it popped up

you should be fine, as long as you keep
turning and don't try to straighten out :D

also happened to to me just once, going 30 on the city street and engine died. put it in N turn the key and it restarted. freaked me out, but it hasn't happened since.

Wonder if there's any NTSB info on this. Certainly seems like it would be a safety concern.

this has happened to me twice since ive owned my car december of 2004, i have no clue what it is. Not to mention when i told the dealer about it they looked at me like i was crazy.

Thanks for the replies guys. For those of you that have had this happen to them lets see if we have anything in common. Post the facts when it happened like year car, mileage, mods concerning induction system, tune(SCT,Preditor, tuner) and anything else that may be relevant. Has it happened more than once and if so how long in between occurences. So far my car is acting perfectly normal after reloading the tune. Hmmm

It would be intersting to know if this has happened to bone stock cars as well.
