Speaking of changes, Brenspeed.com says: "Boost varies based on altitude and RPM"... So like I (and someone else before) was saying, if you shift at 5800 you're not going to make as much boost at the top end as you would if you shifted at 6600, for instance..


Oh - and about the pumps - Brenspeed can trade the GT500 system for the BAP in the higher stages.. If memory serves, Brent said it's like a $435 difference.. I asked about it when I was looking at doing a Stage 3 instead of a Stage 2..

very true ex. I didnt even hit my max boost till right at 6200.

It doesnt matter who built what, if I was getting it installed by someone it would matter, it's just the product I'm after. Whoever gives me the best prices gets my money.This is especially important because I have to pay a good $300 duties and somewhere near $180 shipping. [:@]

I seem to remember reading a post on here a while back that bascially said what you guys don't tell us is that you've burned through at least 3 of those 5r55s so far. I don't believe that the stock auto parts can handle that kind of power, I don't care what kind of tune you have. The 5r55 is smaller and weaker than previous autos and just can't handle high power for very long. I still always go back to the Ford Racing 500HP whipple that says MANUAL only. I still don't care what kind of tune you have, Ford Racing knows the 5r55 is not as strong as the manual and high HP will break it. Running a very safe tune for the auto to me is not good b/c you're basically holding the s/c back from what it's capable of just to save the weak 5r55.

Either replace the 5r55 or manual FTW!

I think there's at least a couple guys on here who went to the A4OD (IIRC)..
