It helps A LOT actually...

Okay, here's my take...

Not such a good deal IMO and here's why...

The LSA (lobe seperation angle) is a good choice for a FI car. Not so good for an N/A car. If you call BBR and talk to them they will admit the biggest gains from their cams are seen on N/A cars. The reason is their cams have a lsa of 114 and the tighter lsa works better with n/a cars. The lsa of these cams is more ideal for a car with FI but the downside is with FI, you really want to make sure you have the upgraded springs in your valve train anyway. The lift and duration is not 'too conservative', in fact, it's better than I expected with these cams being 'NSR' but I still would like to see more lift in a camshaft for the 3V. The lift is a little too mild for my taste for the money IMO.

If I was n/a - I would want a 114 lsa and if I was FI, I would want better springs and retainers anyway so I really don't see how these are a good deal in the long run. Looks to be a cost savings solution to benefit guys wanting to save a few bucks but I really don't see them being a 'good' deal in the long run either way.

However, I know for a fact comp cams can change the lsa of any cam up to 1 1/2 degree so if I was n/a, I would ask comp to change the lsa on these to a 114 and then I actually think they would be a really good buy for n/a guys...

I agree from the little i know about cams. I don't know that much about LSA, but the lift increase is very mild. But maybe the set-up seems to be like it is to keep from losing lowend torque which many people see when installing cams without supporting flow mods like LT headers. I would be interested to see what brenspeed could to do tune the cams if they were to get to the above suggested 114 LSA - price and performance wise.

brent got back to me today but would get more info for me tomorrow....it might be that same as you got or maybe a bit more. I might email him back about getting comp cams to adjust the LSA a little...stayed tuned for more from the lovely folks at brenspeed and of course, the overwhelming knowledge that CK has for us.

Just got back from having the NSR cams installed on my S/C'd car (Saleen T/S), check out Brenspeeds customer section and you can see the results. I was totally pleased and shocked by the results, the car picked up really nice gains for the money. 584 bhp and 493 rwhp. The dyno sheet is on there also.
