Does it feel smoother than stock. Easier to find gears or ?

I just ordered one. I hope it aint an unclean-female-dog to install. Still dont know if the console has to be removed,[how?] or if I have to go under the car, but I guess I'll be findin out.

no u don't have to go under the car, and u just kinda have to grab under the shift boot and pull up. http://www.stangpro.com/html/articles/mgwshifter.htm

look what he does for the first step, thats how you get the consol thing out. Quite simple.

That article is on a 03 stang with a MGW shifter. What does that have to do with a 05 stang and a Steeda Tri Ax?

i just broke down and bought one as well i hope this is worth the $. one more toy for the pony to run with. just got off the phone with sean hyland motorsport and got a shifter and some new motormounts to replace the stock liquid filled ones. (good concept but bad idea ford). any ways since am stationed in england you will probubly have yours installed already before i even get mine so if you can could you get back on here and tell me what ya did and if it was a pain in the *&%@. describe the process if you can thanks alot.

Just curious. Not pointing out your post in perticular, it was just the latest example I ran across for my point....

Why do so many people buy Steeda parts from 3rd party vendors instead of from Steeda?

You don't have to remove the console just the shift boot. You do have to go under the car. I have a lift in my shop which helped. If you call Steeda they will fax you the install information. That way you can see what you are in for before you start. Steeda's number is 954-960-0774.

why do others do it i dunno. why do i do it cause some web sites offer steeda parts and they also include military discounts. some sites offer free shipping. there are probubly some other incentives why some people shop at 3rd party vendors.
