Frank,

You have it correct in the first picture. The way you have is now is actually the 'vaccum line upgrade' route developed by JDM. With this configuration your boost will come on sooner and more positively.

I ended up this way (Saleen way version 2) because I had surging issues under light cruise control. After I thought about it this way makes sense to me because yes the fuel sensor needs to see boost but the bypass actuator only needs to see vacuum or no / lowvacuum it does not need to see boost, as once it sees boost it's allready open (bypass closed) so basically you are boosting a spring loaded device that is allready released under absence of vacuum. Car runs the same and the surging I had is gone with the saleen routing. I hate to say it because I have purchased other stuff from them but I think JDM are just putting cash in their pocket for selling $1.50 worth of hose and a t.

I shoud add the JDM way was developed when Saleen had routing version 1 where they tied the fuel sensor to the brake booster, the newer saleen way addresses this. And no your boost will not come on sooner and more positively in the JDM vs Saleen version 2 scinero. Think about it, the actuator has to open by absence of vacuum to close the bypass and get boost, it's allready done it's job by the time it sees boost. If you don't believe me turn your car on let it idle and go pulloff a vacuum line and see how fast that actuator opensunder no vacuum.
