I currently have Brenspeed's 87, 91, and 93 tunes on my xcal II. I was going to purchase Bamachips 93 race tune, but am unsure if the xcal can hold all of my tunes. Will I have to remove a tune? thanks!

damn, I thought so. Guess I'll leave what I have unless there's a hell of a difference in the 93 tunes.

Let me warn you ahead of time. You will probably not be able to overwrite the
file/tune in the 3rd bank. I couldn't and numerous others on the SCTFLASH.comsite/forum
couldn't either. Banks 1 and 2 were no problem. They suggested we reformat the device
and reload the 3 tunes again...screw that I say. Luckily my 3rd bank has the 91 Race tune in it.

But, they hold 3 custom tunes along with the stock tune.

I spoke with Doug @ Bamachips, andhe said I could mail him my tuner and he could load it for me. Does this mean I have to choose a tune to remove?

yes, you should tell him which tune you want his to replace. I'd go with the current 93, or the 91. If you lose the 87, you also drop the ability to go down to cheaper gas if you ever take a longer trip.

Yep, ones gotta go. Also make sure you have your tune files backed up to your pc.
You can NOT upload from the Xcal to your pc, only down from pc to Xcal.

Have the tuners email you a copy of the tunes and save them on your HD,
CD and keep them in your email forever. I have mine backed-up in numerous
places.

just backup your three tunes on to your PC.
No big deal/.Then you can load any three you want. I would just overwrite one of them. If you need the old tune pull it back from your PC

i have had a problem loading tunes into my xcal2, slot 3 or otherwise.....hmm
