Check your oil also, I had my car cut off one time while driving. Check engine came on. Let it sit awhile and it started back up and ran and cut off again. My low oil light never came on either. Later on i checked my oil to find out i was low.

Though i doubt this is what it is, just check to make sure.

i agree it may be a fuel pump going bad another thing may be the crankshaft positioning sensor going out or loose wire.

My Honda did something like that once. Just flat out cut out on me. Was fine one second, totally dead the next. It would turn over but would not catch after that.

The coil burnt on it. We thought it was the fuel pump at first but nope it was fine.
