Default 11.90 on real street tires

Just installed the Kenne Bell 2.6L with intercooler. With 285/40/18 Nitto 555 (not the race models) onSteeda Ultralites I got a 1.77 60ft and ran 11.90 @ 120. My first pass today was 11.97 @ 119 with 1.91 60ft backed up with a 11.96 @ 118 with 1.79 60ft. Not bad for an Auto without a converter or street slicks huh? I was rolling into the throttle from a 1000 RPM's againstthe converter. I weighed my car and it weighed 3890 with me in it. I weigh 180. Anyone beat that on street tires?

Thats real good with street tires. If you had manual I dont think you would of been able to hook at all.

I have not hit a dyno yet. Just installed her Friday. Took it to the track today at VMP in Virginia. It's supposed to be puttin 462 to the tires. I have no cats which should give me 10hp but evrything else is all Kenne Bell. It's 8.5 lbs of boost. I had one 14 second run spinning all the way through 1st, one 13 second run spinning and two 12 second runs with traction problems until I started pulling forward out of the water to lite em up. That gotem real hot and I just got out of the groove about one tire width. The groove seemed to make it worse.

yea you have to be careful about spinning in the water box so that you don't fling the water in the wheelwells real bad.. it drips back onto the tires and makes it hard to get hooked up... thats awesome for your first time out though.

Thanks. I always felt it was slower than most until I installed the KB. To tell you the truth I would have been happy with a 12.50 on street tires. I had no idea my first pass would be in the 11's. I was running a Chevy II with 18in wide Mickey Thompson Pro's and camming hard. My first pass of the day was against him and I left on him. He went 11.96 at 110 and I went 11.97 at 119.9. I went by him at the line so fast I thought he broke. I almost wet all over myself when I got the slip.

I'm laughing to myself remembering how I would blow past the car tire drag bikes going about 30-35 mph faster then them (I trapped 130's in the 1/8th and they did that in the 1/4. They hated that . they really like it when you drive your car in and then back home and they are trailering etc.. I'm sure your stoked as I would be too.. It's posts like these that make it hard for me to leave my car n/a
