I have mixed highway and city and drive the car 5 days a week to work 62miles a day, I average 18mpg with a good amount of accelerating.

8psi pulley FTW! I get 18.3 mpg according to the car, but showing 19+ according to my math. With the 10psi pulley I had a hard time keeping it at 17mpg, mostly stayed at 16/

I'm running the "8 psi" (on the gen 2's it might be more) right now. Justin at VMP got me to pull timing 2000-4000 RPM by -4 degrees, and the knock stopped. has me worried, because it was knocking really bad before. Hopefully no engine damage (sounds fine now, even after some hard test runs). thankfully the knock was at such low RPM.......the added load of high piston speeds would have snapped a con rod for sure!!

Anyways, I'll be getting it dyno tuned next week hopefully, and also passing the datalog / dyno info Justin. can't hurt to have two opinions.

thats great that you got that worked out. keep us posted on how the dynoing goes. i also posted in the vmp section to thank Justin for the tune and he said to send him the .DRF dyno run files w/ the graph and he can tweak my tune some more. how do i get the .DRF dyno run files?

WHOA. So it was knocking? I was just about to pull the trigger on a VMP tune for my whipple, but the thought of having even ten seconds of engine knock on 10 pounds of boost is giving me second thoughts...

I am going to get a VMP dyno tune eventually, dont think I trust a mail order tune for any FI.

Just need to get the equipment so I can start to hoop up the power I have now, before I go for more.
