I honestly like the way the Genki looks better, and my stang is not going to be a racer. I'm going to do some performance mods, but this seems like for what I'm going to be doing doing it will be just fine........I've read another discussion, and it seems like for my use I'll be fine either way....

Are you SURE you won't need a tune? Seems that most CAI only users (vs. CAI & tune combo) tend to throw a CEL even though the CAI manufacture says you won't. Use the search feature on the forum as there are a lot of threads on this. Most members will tell you to get a CAI & tune especially since the CAI might get you 3-5 HP max while the combo will net you about 15-25 RWHP or more.

Genki is definitely a no-no. Buuut to address the CEL issue, I have the K&N "standard" I guess, and I never had one. I agree it doesn't net you as much of a gain, but no worries of a CEL with that particular one atleast.

I have the K&N CAI and without a tune you'll see some minor issues. Not as bad as most other CAIs though. I've noticed that it runs a bit lean so I knock when running 87 octane on accel. Also I'll throw a CEL every once and a while.
I'm getting a tune soon (well I have it but it was made for the wrong strategy) which should take care of all of that.
