Buy a good radar/laser detector such as Escort or Valentine 1 and photoblocker spray for your plates. Keep your eyes open and always believe your radar detector.

ya, did that. but when state troopers flip their radar on during the last second before they or i can see them, the radar detector doesnt help. it goes off, but the cop is staring me right in the face. i have a escort 8500-works great when cops aren't being tricky

I have noticed that cops pay "special" attention to mustangs, especially if you have tinted windows and some nice sounding exhaust. In my old '85 I used to get stopped like clockwork for all sorts of ridiculous stuff like my AIR FRESHENER.... which I actually got a 3 point ticket...,.obstruction of view and/or control, at the same time I also got another ticket also 3 points for my tint, which mind you was VERY light (you could see in at night). After the cop gave me the tickets I joked to him "Damn, I shoulda just killed someone with my car thats only 5 points." He didnt think it was funny. At any rate Ive noticed more than anything its the color of your car, even though they say thats not the case. In my jalapeno red 1985 GT, I literally got pulled over once a week. Among other stops were things such as loud exhaust, clear license plate cover, air freshener, tinted windows, exhibition of acceleration ( spun the tires a little when I was gettin goin),etc etc the list goes on. Whether you like it or not Mustangs ARE targeted vehicles, you cant get away with anything (at least I couldnt). Anyway, I painted my car black put some chromies on it, then I got pulled over cuz they thought I was a dope dealer.....sigh I cant win.

PS: One cop that pulled me over basiaclly told me that my car was "too flashy" and that cars like mine bleong in car shows not on the road. Guess you cant drive a nice lookin car anymore.

I was wacthing the news the other night and too my surprise the Florida Highway Patrol has bought a new fleet of 06 GT patrol cars. They look pretty bad a$$ While i was driving through orlando the other day i saw about three of them, kind of makes me proud to know that the cops want to be just as cool as us LOL.... They Used to have Camaro SS's but once chevy dicked everyone outa those, the only thing left to do was to buy a real american muscle car......

I have to worry about tickets a "tad" bit less than I used to...........my g/f works for the sheriff's office around here now. She made the mistake of mentioning my car to some of the patrol guys and now they all want me to bring it by the station one day to "play around" with it. I'm almost tempted to do it just so they'll thumbs-up me when they see me on the road instead of hounding me street to street.

I was pulled over for the first time in my 05 GT about a month ago. Got a ticket for illegal lane change failure to use signal. Whatever, if i was driving a POS car he never would've given me a ticket for that. I was just wondering how many times that cop sees that same thing every day and does nothing. I swear you have to drive perfect when you have a nice car or you get a ticket.

Late at nite + nice car= PULLED OVER. I've been pulled over atleast 10 times my way for nothing late at night. I know one cop told me my tail light was out, and guess what? it wasnt out.

Even though triple diget speeds are not safe it sucks to get nailed by an under corver cop for that. I think its bs; to start off w/ they def haul *** every where in that thing. The funnest thing I've ever seen was a UC dodge avenger cop(w/ no lights on) doing atleast 100 on the same road i got a speeding ticket.
