It's an Eaton blower. No, it will not work on the 4.6L 3V.

Zkiller is correct you would need a 5.4L 4V DOHC engine to make it work. Just tack labor onto what Zkiller gave for price and you should have it. About 25,000.00 to 30,000.00, because you'll also need to change the Drive shaft with the new trans and you'll need to get all of the additional plumming for the Eaton and the wiring harness for the 5.4L. Ooh don't forget anothe K-member and and exhaust system (Kooks makes a nice set of GT500 LT's). You'll also need to get a shift assembly from Ford (about $500.00) since almost all of the after market shifters use some of the stock assembly and the trans wont have it and yours won't work......(THE LIST GOES ON)

Trust me....Buy a K.B. and call it a day!

Go with a Whipple, Saleen, or Kenne Bell. Vortech and Paxton would also be preferable to a Eaton. There are three types of superchargers if I'm not mistaken; Twin-screw, centrifugals, and Root based. Whipples, Saleens, and Kenne Bells are all twin screws, while Vortech and Paxton's are centrifiguals I believe. The Eaton's are roots based, which are less efficent than both the Twin Screw and Centrifugal. This is why you see people making massive power gains of GT500's and Terminators by switching to a different twin-screw or centrifugal type blower. The only reason to put an Eaton on your car ( if it is even possible, which I doubt - and it certainly isn't cost efficent ) is to say you have the same blower that the GT500 has. You can make a lot more power w/ a different type of SC setup.

I'll give you a pass for not thinking clearly on this one...

ORIGINAL: Menace

Well, the GT 500 and GT use the same heads, so thus the ports have to match and what not. You might want to ask someone who has experience in working on the GT 500 and the GT because it might work.

Will it be worth it? The only way I can see it being worth it is if you got the GT 500 for a small penny, and all you had to pay for was any adapters and miscellanous stuff to make it work.

Will the KB, Saleen, Whipple, or any other system work better? Possibly as they are aftermarket items designed to be better than OEM items, but nevertheless who would care if you paid 1/4 or less of what the other guys were paying and got a nice gain in power out of it.

Like I said, don't listen to any of us though. Find someone who works on these cars and isn't trying to sell you anything, just get some information.

Get a SC but even then your limited to other factors other than the SC
A standard whipple can be made to put out moreForced airthan your stock block can handle.
They are making a larger whipple for the 4.6L but it is really in the more developmental stage.
Search for it !
It makes a lot more power than a stock (5.4 with standard SC)but you will have to beff up your ___________________
