Default best shifter and headers?

from reading all your questions and answers, you all rock and seem to know the best.

Here's my question...which is the best shifter to upgrade to for street/occasional strip use? Also which are the best longtube headers?

upgrades already done: CAI intake and EVO Performance 93 octane tune, 4.10 gears Steeda Underdrive Pulleys.

Dress up: Stripes, Side Decals, Side Louvers, Sequnetial Tailights and bezels.

Picture will be coming soon...........

Thanks for your help.

If money is no option the best shifter is MGW. For the best LT headers picking from Kooks, Hooker, ARH is prolly the way to go. Headers can get expensive quick though.

I know the MGW short throw IMO is the best for street and the track!

Best LT's.....not sure but anything 304 SS and equal length which I think all of them are.... I like ARH, Kooks, and the install can be difficult and costly if you dont do them yourself and I would not recommend that if you are a newbie to the car and not mechanically inclined! Hope it helps! J

Get them ceramic coated as well to keep from letting out too much heat under your hood.

MGW[sm=bangbang.gif]......j/k.......I know everyone loves their MGW's but I still swear by my Hurst......IMO it looks the best and I like the very positive/notchy feel. If you want to try one out go to a dealer and play with a Shelby GT's.......oh yeah and as far as headers..it may not be the best but when that time comes for me I'm getting the "big Mac package" from Brenspeed. Mac LT headers/O/R Prochamber and all the other things you need for the complete install. $920. And when its paired to the Mac mufflers it sounds like a 2V coming down the street(which is the sound Im going for)

+1 on the Hurst, but the notchy/positive feel was an acquired taste. At first I really didn't like it, but after having the Hurst shifter in over a year I wouldn't go back now.

I love my Hurst. The feel is nice, but the look sold me. I can't really compare it to anything else though. Try and find someone around you who has a hurst and give it a try. It's is defintely much stiffer then stock. It has a very notchy feel, but I've grown to like it.
