20s add unsprung weight which will slow your car down.
20s have the worse traction of any tire option people are using on S197.
20s do not fill the wheelwell more if the overall tire diameter is not greater than 27". 15" rims with huge tires fill the wheel well fine if they are 28" tall.
Lots of people like20 inch rimsfor looks but people who are seriously trying to make their cars fast would never run them.
It is a blingy mod not a performance mod.

Not to mention the chance of cracking a 20" in a pot hole is greater.

No, but its because I have good tires on them. I could spin way easier with the 17". ZKiller it is true, you got me, its the look and I love it.

Well I am planning on 20's in the future. I will see a performance gain though since I am going from the stock perilis to much better tire.

I will get 20x10 rears with a 305/35/20 DR. I will get way more traction than I do now. I will gain performance with the swap. But traction being equal I would do better with an 18" wheel.

You have to sacrifice some performance for the looks. I think a alum D/S, Alum flywheel, and electric H2O pump will more than make up for the addition of 20's.

But if performance is your # 1 concern get some 17x9, or 17x10's. Or 15" rims if you modify the rear suspension.

It is stupid to race with 20's. I have three sets of wheels for this reason.
