Default More "Whipple" problems......*sigh*

So, I did some datalogs for Justin @ VMP, and he sends a reply telling me something is "way off" and to verify my injectors. Pretty much exactly what I want to hear. Unless Whipple sent54# or something, I don't know whats wrong.

The other problem (very moot) is that the drivers side intercooler brass fitting looked like it leaked a bit (fluid on the ground and a "stain" on the intake manifold). Shouldn't be a big deal to fix once Whipple tells me the torque spec / o-ring size (if it is in fact an ORB fitting)

Wish me luck that I get things sorted out before I blow the damn thing up.

Not good.
Please keep me posted Cataclysm, I'll be doing the intall next week and already planning to check all the fasteners, didnt think about the fittings though.

So whats with the injectors?? if I've missed a post I apologize but not sure of the original issue??

I do wish you luck!

Justin just asked me to verify the injectors....perhaps they are a different size then he tuned for by mistake.

hey cat, do you think a leak down
test (using compressed air) would
have revealed that connector issue?

hang in there and these minor issues will
one day, just be a distant unpleasant
memory.....

Hey Hammer, I've been wanting to ask you how much pressure for the leak down? I was thinking no more than ~10psi.

Did you get a whipple tune? I am running the whipple tune at 8psi, and I have 0 problems. Other than wanting more HP.

I think you should switch to the whipple tune while you figure out these problems.

Do you have some one local who dyno tunes. I dont trust this remote tuning thing.

I have not ordered theFRPP tune, and I also moved my IAT sensor........will that affect the FRPP tune? I should order that tomorrow I guess......and not drive my car until I figure this out. I'm worried now that I am either lean (doesn't ping....so maybe not) or way to rich which might wash my cylinders causing some serious damage as well. Justin asked if I could get a wideband too.....which also concerns me. I can't get the wideband done until I get a weldboss on my exhaust, and i can't do that unless I drive my car.
There are no DTC codes thrown either.....

Hammeron: I don't know if the leak down would have shown anything. Its leaking on the outside of the fitting, so its possible a temp change caused it. As far as I can tell, the leak stopped.........but I'll have to keep an eye on it to make sure its the intercooler system, and not engine coolant.

Whatever is going on, I'm stressed like all hell now, as i have been driving the car for a bit, sometimes hard. I'd be pissed if there is a mechanical issue when I go to get it dyno tuned on the 15th..........so I need to figure it out yesterday.

aclass - we're just testing the intercooler
core and connectors, so 10-20psi should be
fine

cat - FRPP tune is written for stock IAT location

dex - exhaust pipe bung, for the a/f sensor

I wish Justin would give me better explanations. I mean, what exactly is "way off"? I need to know more then just "verify injectors",I want to know why I should be lookin' at them.

My blood pressure is right jacked now............[:@]
