Thank you for starting this thread, my car has 10k on it now and the same thing happened to me just the other day. But I think this thread has come up before and it might be a normal thing...

If it does it occasionally but mostly after a recent quick start and shutdown, then you'll find quite a few threads about it and that it's the nature of our Stangs. If I recall a prior quick-start and shutdown resluts in some minor oil pooling that simply burns off at the next startup. Supposedly no harm done.

+1
Minesmokes every time under those conditions. I also had a Probe GT with a Mazda engine that did the same thing for 70K miles before I sold it.The engine ran like a clock, and did notneed any oiladded between changes.

I just noticed that today, too, on my 2005 GT with 15k. And, I did 2 quick start-ups and stops before I got the smoke on the 3rd start-up. I was like - WTF - and then I remembered seeing the title to this post. I had to check to see what you guys said but I'll keep an eye on this. I took it for a spin and she runs great.

Every now and then mine does that if parked on an incline. My buddies 98 Cobra does the same thing. No big deal.
