well.....the paxton 1200 SL is sounding like the best for me now. cheapish, makes decent power on the low end compared to the vortech, good unit altogether. i don't trust vortech........too many friends with vortech blowers have had big problems with them.

i don't need huge, monstrous, 480 rwhp or anything like that. i'm looking for 400-420 rwhp, reliable. maybe a tune for 450 RWHP for the track or something, but i wanna keep it safe, since i'll probably start out without an intercooler, and upgrade it later.
Paxton and vortech are the same company.

I don't want to rain on your parade, but I wouldn't put any forced induction on my car if I were unemployed. While i've never had a single problem with my car, others have. If you aren't in a position to replace the motor, then you should stay naturally aspirated for now.

Patience is a virtue.

meh good point. i probably will wind up going the bolt on route. Gears, lowering, LCA's, custom tune, aluminum d/s, and upgraded clutch.
You are very young and there's plenty of time to add a blower. Just don't get married or you'll be screwed!

get a zex kit for now untill you are in the position to afford a blower and any issues that may come from it. Get some of the bolt ons you want and someNos and your good to go. Just as good as a blower IMO. The bottles can add up though but Im sure your not going to jump in your car and floor it every where you go..........all though I could be wrong

good luck fellow floridian.......and ya better go intercooled out here in this hell on earth . I have the gts-2 hood and I feel bad for my engine when I put the covers over the vents cause it gets so dam hot under there I cant imagine with a blower with out a intercooler[&:]
