no longer 1/4 mile virgin!!!
I went to the local track tonight and got 2 passes in. Tonight was my first time EVER running a track and it was a HOOT!!! My times sucked but give me a break...i was a virgin too this. I still need to figure out how to drive this car on the 1/4 mile. What advice do you all suggest...here are my time slip times for both runs
RUN 1
Reaction time 0.872
60ft 2.570
mph 102.27
finish 14.685
this is how you get mopped by a 10 sec car...this is the video of run 1

Run 2
dropped tire pressure to 25lbs
reaction time 2.39
60ft 2.39
MPH 105.98
finish 13.479
race 2 was against a turbo'd Honda S2000...i beat him by .8 of a sec

Somethings not right. While your 60 ft times are terrible, you should still be trapping much, much, much, much higher than 105mph. Was this track at 10,000 feet above sea level or something?
Someone help me out here, i don't get it?

Looking at your sig, you must be making some decent power! With out having a good tire on it, it is useless. We took our car to the track this week end (first time it has seen the 1320) and could do no better than 13.20on the 20" radials. We slapped on some 17" DR and with a crappy burn out got it to go 12.70 at 115.8. This was rolling the clutch and throttle at 2k......car had major tire shake! Time for suspension
The best advise I can say is practice practice oh and tire!! DO NOT worry about your reation time. You work on that once you have launching the car down.
Goood Luck and Have Fun!!!
