I pay $1550/yr for the 'stang and my winter beater, a 97 Grand Prix. Full coverage on both, with much higher than regular coverages.

I'm with Progressive Direct. When I was 24/25, Erie Insurance gave me a REAL good deal. Try them. I was paying $2400/yr for the GP when I was 24, then I switched to Erie and it went down to $1100/yr... Then switched to Progressive Direct, went down to $800/yr.

Clean record, no moving violations at all (that didn't get reduced to parking tickets, anyway)...

there is more than price to consider when choosing a company, some of the bigger ones might not be the lowest possible price but they are usually close, and then the service they provide if you do need to file a claim (even if an accident isn't your fault, you can file the claim on your insurance if the other company is screwing you) and bigger companies usually give you a fair deal.. some smaller ones may not..

My stang is only about $1300 a year (ridiculously high liability coverage). 24 years old, no accidents, no tickets.

My wife's prius, however, is a different story. She has two at fault accidents in the last two years, so her premium is $2300 a year for the same coverage.

Needless to say, my wife now pays for her own insurance.
