Default Extremely high car insurance

Hey guys I just bought a new 2008 Gt and AAA wants to charge me $3,200 a year for insurance!

I'm a 25 year old male living in Los Angeles with 1 moving violation that happened when I was 18. No tickets since. What do you guys pay and which insurance company is cheaper than AAA?

you'll find many insurance companies that are cheaper than AAA.. State Farm, Farmers, All State, (probably not Geico, they are usually more expensive) AIG usually has low rates, but i received poor service from them, although i was the claimant, not the insured. I'd recommened going with one of the big three, give them each a call with a quote, also get your homeowners or renters insurance through them and you'll save even more. moving violations 7 years old usually do not count against you anymore for most companies.

edit: btw, I'm 27, had a speeding ticket a year and a half ago (before I got the 'stang) and I only pay 117/month with state farm. this changes by area of course. and deductibles, im using 50/100 liability uninsured/underinsured, 500 deductibles for comp/collision, 1k medical payments.

I'm over 50, no wrecks and tickets (ever) and my Geico is $55 a month. You can't compare me to you because I am an apple and you are an orange.

Mine is about $840/year with State Farm, but I'm 33. Geographical location makes a huge difference as well...

There was a recent poll on what people are paying. Unfortunately, it didn't do a break-down on age...

I'm 52 with the Stang and an SUV plus a 23 y/o and a Saturn, plus a camper. No wrecks or recent tickets. I'm paying $3150/year

That's about right when the kid's NOT a primary driver. See what happens when he becomes a primary on vehicle on your policy. Ayeeee carumba!
