They are perfectly emissions legal but I'm not sure about passing inspection for another reason. I could be incorrect but I beleive NYS has a law that vehicles must run mufflers. Being as the SLP's are a muffler delete you could catch some crap for it. Either way they sound great and hope you enjoy them!

just... shift, shift, and shift some more until you hit about fourth or fifth when passing a cop... not sure how picky they are in NY but they have a frenzy over here in MD with loud exhaust. other wise, i agree with the ear plugs. its going to sound very mean and you will love it. I also recommend a diaper of some sort forwhen you s**t your self from how loud it is. (i wasnt prepared [&:])

they arent that loud i have em and im in ny the cops wont bother u unless u step on it. they are loud at wot but if just cruising you fine. i have a high flow catted x right now and soon to be taking off the cats.. i drive my car alot but wen u see a cop just let off the gas or be very light on it because when they see a young kid in a nice car ur already asking for a random pull over.

I'm in Syracuse,
I'm not too worried about cops. I live in an area rich with Muscle cars, etc. So compared to some of the cars rolling around my town, My car will sound like a Hybrid.. As for the inspection, I'm just gonna have my car inspected at our shop before they put the exhaust on
But I'm so pumped, they shipped today!!

well have fun. you guys are lucky though. my friend had to sell his SLP's because he got pulled over twice in one day then again the next all for exhaust... cops in MD just have some big sticks up their butts...
