Default Hesitation!!!!

i have a 2005 automatic mustang gt. i had the hole hesitation problem in october of 2007 so i took the car into the dealer for the TSB and they replaced the fuel pump. now i am starting to experience the hesitaion again today. like when i floor it from 20mph and when i hit 60mph the rmps will like hesitate its annoying. and once today i punched it at 60mph and the rpms just sat at 3,000 for 2 seconds and then went. wahts up with this!!!!!

i think when i punch it at about 20 its in 1st and when i hit 60 its shifting to 3rd when it does it. like i just went for another ride and it did not do it this time. its like a hit or miss thing, i just filled back up and added stp gas cleaner incase if i had any water in my gas on the last tank. do you think i could have another bad fuel pump

Ummmm...isn't this more due to the drive by wire throttle than the fuel pump? I believe a tune would fix this.

Agree.......look into a tuner.....you will be much happier with the way it drives.

See if the following helps:
-Remove the battery's negative cable for 15 minutes.
-Recalibrate the gas pedal/throttle body.

yea im looking into an sct tuner from brenspeed. i hope its not a fuel system problem. can the drive by wire system cause the car to just stop at acertain rpm and hesitate and then go? how do you recalibrate the gaspedal and throttle body, and what does disconnecting the battery do? i have heard somthing about also turning on the battery and doing somting with the gas pedal that somehow fixes somting is that true? do you recomend running stuff like stp gas cleaner and stp fuel injector cleaner when chaning the oil?

I've begun to experience an intermmitent hesitation issue. I first noticed it almost 2 weeks ago when running around 60 MPH in 5th,I downshifted to 3rd and went WOT but it took a second or 2 for it to wind up. Then, 2 days ago I pulled away from a light and at one point it just quit winding up (I believe I was still in 1st gear) for a second and then let loose again. I went out on the highway and did 3 drops from 60 MPH in 5th to 3rd and WOT again but couldn't duplicate it. Is this similar to what you're experiencing?
