makes me realize i'm no where ready
to order any parts!

project, in my garage.....so i'll need to
sort this mess out..

Here are the part numbers:

6 bolt twin disk (with flywheel) P/N 64306-00-03
8 bolt twin disk (with flywheel) P/N 64308-00-03

RST 10-spline (to stock flywheel) P/N 6912-03

We are working on becoming a vendor and we will obviously need a buy-in. I will keep you guys posted so we can hopefully get it kicked off.
I am not a big drivetrain guy, so can anyone explain the difference between these. I assume the last part number is the one I have been discussing since the first page. But what would the 6 bolt or 8 bolt get me?

Hammer - Once I know what they are I will add the info to the first page.

All - Thanks for the notes. True I hadnt thought about the Cobra crank being different, or the input shaft. Hmm. Kind of changes my argument, but I still think I will stick with it just because they seem to work great. At least I will know they arent the weakest link.

Would any of the kit still be useable if I went to a Cobra Crank, and a 26 spline shaft. I understand the mechanics of a clutch system but not these intracacies.

Thanks,
The # of bolts refers to the # of bolts that hold the flywheel to the crank. If you do NOT have a cobra crank and you order an 8-bolt crank kit, you will get a flywheel that you cannot bolt onto your crank. LOL

If you switch cranks, you'll need to switch flywheels. You may or may not be able to use the same flexplate, depends on the kit. You'd have to check the specifics of the kits, and that's something that is far above my current level of ambition.

I spoke to Mcleod yesterday and they said there is sort of bearing kit available with that kit, it makes the hydralic clutch system bleedable also, is anyone using that kit along with the RST clutch?
The RST is a Twin Disc unit and I am running my stock T/O bearing with no problems at all!. I believe their Super Street pro unit for our cars comes with a T/O bearing however?. I am not sure the reason other than maybe ease of bleed or different release pressures etc.

thanks mickey and thanks sactown

guru, maybe you can compile the part
numbers needed for a 450-550rwhp
application and list on the front page....

I know the Super Street pro kit is designed for applications up to 500 hp. The RST unit will handle up to 800 hp
