Buhaha. Owned the dealership
Short Verision: I got a $28 000 car for $25 000 without negociating.
Long Version: Well I just picked up my new car, '07 Vista Blue GT with 18 000 kms, leather, auto, yesteday for significantly cheaper than the dealer expected. I had been looking around on autotrader for a good deal on a GT (okay, more like obsessing for 5 months) and was unable to find one. Then I tried poking around on dealers websites andI found one that was listed in Edmonton for $24995. Upon contacting them they informed by it had been mispriced and was supposed to be $27995, the price it had been on autotrader for a month or so. However, due to their mistake, they had to honour the price for 3 more days. Needless to say my dad and I drove up there pretty quick and snapped it up. I felt pretty good that day.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but assuming that 1 CND = ~ 1 USD...
You paid a new car price on a used car. That's about how much you could get a Vista Blue GT for with about 10 km on it rather than 18,000 km.
That being said, it's not a bad price at all! You just didn't "own" the dealership. And maybe I'm wrong about 1 CND being about equal to 1 USD. I haven't checked exchange rates lately, so maybe the US dollar appreciated in which case GOOD JOB!

Hey thanks.
Yeah the Canadian dollar is now slightly less than the US dollar once again. And yeah I know it would be cheaper in the States. Significantly at that.Wekinda get screwed for that up here [:@].We would have bought one in the States if we were willing to go through the trouble of inspections and import fees and whatnot. But $25 000 was honestly the lowest price I could find. Most GTs with low "kilometerage" and the options this one had were selling for at least
$27 500, with many over $30 000. I figured this was a good deal.

Vista blue is such a nice colour. Congrats on the new ride.
BTW, I'm in Innisfail. If you are thinking about supercharging some day, I can rip down to Calgary give you a ride in my car.
I'll be at the Mustang ShopTuesday afternoon getting dyno tuned (or problem solving.......we'll see. haha)
Cheers

Nice. Yeah I'm pretty happy with it the way it is. I mean I've been driving around an 02 4 banger accord for most of my driving life so this is a big upgrade! Here are some pics:
Note my parking all the way at the other end of the lot. Lol.
