Saleen 3.6 Upgrade from 4" worth it?
Hey you guys with the 3.6 pulley - whats your opinion of the 3.6 versus the stock 4.0? Is this amount of boost increase worth it coming from the stock pulley? The 3.4 is the smallest I would consider going but I'm not sure if this is ideal with stock internals and stock fuel pump.
I'll be lowering it with Tokico Pro springs and Eibach D-specs shocks/struts soon and thought maybe upping the boost a little while I'm messing with it.
Whatcha think.

I couldn't tell ya the difference since I started out with the 3.6 from the get-go. You can not, generally, use the 3.4 with the stock fuel pump, but the bottom end will be fine. I'd say go for the 3.6, as long as you have the intake, injectors, and plugs already, and don't forget the belt.

Definitely worth it. I dyno's the original 4.0 pulley with stock injectors and stock wmsracing 80mm CAI and the best we could do is 365rwhp on a Mustang dyno.I then went to the 3.6 pulley 39lb injectors and wmsracing 95mm CAIwith a conservative tune same dyno pulled 427rwhp and 430 torque. Definitely worth the move. But you must upgrade the injectors to atleast 39lbs,stocks will be near max out at top end rpm's (6200). Thinking of maybe going to the 3.4 pulley with 60lb injectors and fuel pump upgrade looking at maye 465-470 rwhp.Local tuner tuned many Saleen SC Mustang feels 3.4 pulley is the sweet spot as long as you don't run out of fuel and lean it out this is the best option with the 10 lb pulley. Just make sure the A/F says around mid 11's and you will be OK.

The 4.0 pulley, withouta stock Saleen tune, is advertised by Saleen to make 435 at the crank. With a 3.6" and a Brenspeed 93 octane tune, I make that at the wheels... Definitely worth it!!

I didn't think at this power level that ~35 more hp would be that noticeable but it sounds like everyone's diggin' it.

Hey Martymoose,
I think you would notice a big difference in power, but if I were you I would probably upgrade the fuel system just to be safe. I am going to drop from a 3.8 to 3.4 pulley this summer.
