I changed my fuel filter, when I noticed the Idle was off a little from what it normally was....Problem solved. Three things that can be the cause would be Dirty Air Filter, Throttle Body or Fuel Filter.

don't forget MAF, or a hole in the fuel line bad gas. There are tons of things that cause hesitation.

I would definately change the fuel filter. clean the MAF while you are at it.

I'm at 35k also and just went in and got it changed yesterday at the dealer. They said it was definitely time I think 30k is when it is recommended.

It's actually recommended at 15K. I did mine at about 34-35K. I could hardly blow through it, yet the new one was easy to blow through. I'm not going to wait 30K+ anymore.

Once a year for me, along with the cabin air filter.

The Ford dealership mechanics tell me a dirty fuel filter can strain your fuel pump causing premature failure.15K mile change out definately recomended.
