RE: Driveshaft or LT headers
DS will show a better butt dyno for you. and if your at all mechanical u can install ur self without too much trouble
LTs (good ones) cost $$ (Kooks or ARH) and will take u 8+ hours to install

I was thinking of getting the OBX and DS. I don't want my exhaust to be super loud, pretty loud with just the MACs. Thats why I'm looking into a catted setup. So I was thinking just for get the DS and who knows maybe there will be a group buy on some LTs.

I picked up a solid dyno 10 hp/tq with the long tubes/hi flo catted SLP X pipe combo, and the sound is great, was it worth the money:$1200 installed ? I don't know, did not see a lower ET because of it but it sure sounds great going down the track
Also thestreet/fun factor, before I even had little ole ladies wanting to race me from the light, sure its fun to smokealmost everystreet car but with gas prices, damn,u get the MAC exhaust, headers, x pipe, all of a sudden no one is interested in street racing and I routinely watch people roll their windows up!!! lol Thereal fun part is coming up to a "fart muffler" ricer and giving it a little throttle they want no part of you[:@].
However for going to the track the DS seems more bang for the buck, .2 off your ET for like $600 is pretty good and yuo are beefing up a part of your drivetrain, the factory exhaust is pretty good, the factory DS on the other hand sucks !!! LOL

desslok, you did the same setup i'm getting ready to do. SLP long tubes with catted X pipe, but you only picked up 10 HP on the dyno and nothing on you ET's?? that's extremely disheartening

RE: Driveshaft or LT headers
I wasnt expecting miracles (like people claiming +30 RWHP), for one the SLPshave bigger primaries 1 3/4" , not ideally suited for a NA engine, I decided to get them because I know FI is in the future and the bigger primaries will really help then, I only wanted to dothis once !!! lol
The sound is awesome as i thought it would be with catted pipe, O/R pipes sound aweful !!!!
I will make up the HP/TQ when I get a SC, if you are staying NA then get the smaller 1 5/8" primaries, probably get better numbers. If I wasnt planning onsupercharging I was going to get either a Bassani, Kooks or JBA LT header set-up.
One last thing, if you are going to lower your car get a different brand, the Cats hang pretty low on the SLPs, you can get new motor mounts, which I also suggest, to help with clearance but plan on loosing a good 1/2" inch of ground clearance.
