the gt500 has the same rods the gt has, it has 4v heads which let it breath better, and hold it togehter, it has a forged crank and a forged pistons, but not rods, the rods are forced steel not forged
so it still has forged internals.....: they may not be all forged...but there are some forged internals...LOL

You're telling me they use the same rods for a 5.4L as they do for a 4.6L.[sm=nothatway.gif]

read the article, or do you need me to find more. and yes chef it does have forged parts, i was only stating that its not completely built like most belive. i dought you would have any probs as you have a very very good head on your shoulders and you would throw 800hp at it

funny it is that way. just because the terminator is one way doesnt mean the gt500 will be the same.

True that....no..I cant see me driving an 800hp car....but thats just me...

The "Highly Informative Article" that you linked us to also states that the Shelby has a Iron Block. Need I say more.

their making reference to the type of block used, ares is aluminum and the gt500 is cast iron. alum is better by the way.

i am addin my own touch 2 my car...nothing crazy some interior and some exhaust...once it starts 2 feel slow 2 me im sure ill CAI/tune that baby up...
