it really wouldnt be that hard to beat in the 1/4. All you need is a low 11 or 10sec car. The hard part is making the money for that. But why are you worried about the GTR?
The ZO6>everything else
Not really. It all depends....

IMHO, it's in a similar boat to the GT500...pretty fantastic car, but could have been F'ing amazing if they'd kept the weight down. Ford and Nissan HAD to give them both copious amounts of power to compete. I'd be a terrible GT500 owner....1st thing I'd do is see what parts I could yank/replace to drop a couple hundred #'s....[]

The GT-R is kind of fugly.

They should have just stuck with the 1999 R34 body. One of my favorites to this day.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_GT-R
1/4 mile = 11.6 @ 118 mph
0-60 in 3.2-3.8 sec
475 rwhp/ 457 tq
3836 lbs. curb wt.
price 66-$72k
sawyer or modaddict would definately murder this car in the 1/4 mile.
road course would be a totally different animal.

Well if it is 11.6 in the quarter then all I need to spank it is a good set of tires. On 235 goodyears I ran 11.83 mostly smoking tires 1/2 way down the track...lol

Too bad the ZR1 doesn't compete w/ the GT-R. There is an upcoming V-Spec GT-R to compete w/ the ZR1. And so far, it's lap times at the 'Ring embarass the ZR1's....
