Default champion 7989's

champions came yesterday, just put them in.larger socket size, back to normal 5/8.seem to be a better fit on coil packs when you push the coil pack onto the stem.diffently one piece.just went around the block and seem to be fine,no skips or backfires.gapped at .45.once i put some miles on i'll post the outcome.

Installed my Champions this pastweekend. So far, very impressed; silky smooth idle, instant starts and improved throttle response. Installed with torque wrench to 25 ft/lbs, gapped at .044". The nicest thing? Not having to worry about the plugs "growing" to the heads - priceless. Couldn't be happier!

Just got mine yesterday, going to change the plugs this weekend. I only have 6,500 miles, so I don't anticipate problems but went to the Ford dealership to order the Motorcraft carb cleaner and Nickel Anti-Seize anyway. Come to find out, the parts manager told me he had never ordered those two parts numbers before.

So either everyone in this area is using a different penetrant and anti-zeize or it's not much of a problem. Will update after the plug replacement, but again don't anticipate problems.

Got a couple hundred miles on mine, couldn't be happier. Car pulls hard from idle to red line. Great throttle response.
