Default OK guys, Dyno sheet up, still work in progress..

Went to a MUSTANG dyno thurs to compare my tunes in my SCT. Have been working with Justin at VMP via mail to get this nailed down. Also had my JDM tunechecked since my new pumps and pulley install. Third tune was an old one from Realspeed that was done also prior to the pumps and pulley install. Can't be 100% sure what these #'s would be on a dynojet.

For those unfamiliar with the graphs, from the top down is TQ, HP, A/F, BOOST.

Both tunes produced identical peak hp of 410 (the previous JDM run did 410 but it's not on the sheet)

1) The knock sensors with the VMP tune pulled 1.5 degrees of timing at 4600 rpm. Otherwise all looked pretty good. I faxed all to Justin and emailed him the run file so hopefully we should be all straightened out with a final tune in the next couple of days.

2) The JDM tune was running quite rich at about 10.8 on avge. I called JDM and will be heading down there in early June to get it retuned on their dyno. Since they're fairly close to me, I'd rather go there and get it done "right" instead of all this e-mailing tunes and testing and so forth.

3) The Realspeed tune was way lean (not sure why) so we shut it down before a full pull. Didn't bother going for a re-tune b/c of the work I'm doing with the other 2 companies, we both just figured it would be a waste of time and money at his point.

When I get to JDM and they redo the tune, I'll have them run the finalized VMP tune too, and will post the final graphs for you guys. I'll have dynojet numbers then too.

Interesting.

Yeah, that was my first reaction on seeing that sheet "Wow, that JDM tune is RICH!"

I'd be very interested to see a couple pulls on a dynojet. I was about to ask "How do you run 10 PSI and make so much less power than me" then I realized it wasn't an apples-to-apples chart (mine's dynojet)..

Either way, it looks good. Let us know how it goes at JDM, and how much more $$$ you end up spending on other parts while you're there.

410 sounds about right on a Mustang Dyno.
Hammeron's Whipple makes 411hp on 10 psi, and my Whipple Gen II made 387hp on 8psi. Adding another 2 psi should increase that 30hp roughly, so 420rwhp.
My tuner said his Mustang Dyno read about 14% lower then another shops Dynojet LC, so 410rwhp would be approx 467rwhp on a Dynojet

ORIGINAL: CataclysmGT

so 410rwhp would be approx 467rwhp on a Dynojet
